Tu B'Shevat Program "From Local to Global: Creating a Future Where People and Nature Thrive"

In the spirit of Tu B'shevat, we will discuss how communities are working together to protect biodiversity, address climate change, and support human well-being. Liba Goldstein, a CSU professor of conservation biology, will share about her local work on "Nature in the City," a Fort Collins-based program designed to protect a network of green space within the city to provide habitat for plants and animals, and equitable access to nature for residents. Josh Goldstein, scientist at The Nature Conservancy, will share about "bright spot" solutions being tested and scaled around the world, from building solar fields on abandoned coal mines in Appalachia to protecting wild rivers in the Balkans and beyond.
