Throughout the Bible there are clues that suggest that men and women had separate communities, and therefore different sets of knowledge and spiritual practices. The written Torah may have been a record of the men's community, but the women had their own Torah - written, oral or simply lived - to which we no longer have access. The class will examine texts from throughout the Tanakh for the clues to the unique power of this separate women's Torah and spirituality.
