Mazel Tov to the Delcau Family Har Shalom had the honor of hosting Rabbi Mitchell and Kelly Delcau for their wedding ceremony this past weekend. Join us in wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.
Mazel Tov to the Burke Family Also this weekend, Rabbi Finestone had the honor of performing the naming for Nora Burke during Shabbat morning services. Nora was joined by proud big brother Zev, parents Sonja and Daniel, and many loving friends and family.
Mazel Tov to Nina Rubin Honored with Human Relations Award from City of Fort Collins On December 12th our very own co-President-elect, Nina Rubin received the Human Relations Award from the City of Fort Collins. Nina has been bringing people together from all walks of life in Fort Collins for more than 30 years. She helps people understand how their superpowers contribute to the greater good and to community. Nina's volunteer work touches hundreds of lives. Among the many things Nina does, and has done, for the Fort Collins community includes acting as President of the Interfaith Council; volunteering at Centennial High School's health clinic; serving on the Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Granting program; and co-founding 'Our Commitment to Self and Society.' This is all in addition to her work leading one of the nation's model Chevrah Kadisha programs, and her volunteer work at Har Shalom. We are extremely fortunate to have Nina as part of our leadership team as we plan for our future and the 50th anniversary. Thank you Nina for all you do for us and for Fort Collins.

Skin: Living Armor, Evolving Identity explores how geography and climate have impacted the evolution of skin pigmentation, inspiring you to reconsider everything from what’s in the dust in your home to the way you see the world. FCMoD hopes you’ll take home a deeper understanding of our shared humanity and recognize that we – as humans – are more alike than we are different.
The Bias Inside Us will exlore how the human mind’s chemistry can lead us to a place of inherent bias. This community engagement project from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) raises awareness about the social science and psychology of implicit bias, the impact of this bias and what people can do about it.
