Vision Statement

Creating a Jewish home in Northern Colorado imbued with wisdom, support, Jewish values, spiritual growth, and love

Inclusion Statement

It takes diversity of thought, culture, background, perspective, identity, and experience to create a well-balanced and vibrant community. At Har Shalom, we are committed to welcoming, respecting, accepting, institutionally supporting, and valuing diverse identities and communities of people. We are a community of Jews by choice and Jews by Birth, LGBTQIA+ Jews, BIPOC Jews, interfaith and adoptive families, and Jews with differing physical abilities. Our community includes Jews from an array of ethnic and spiritual backgrounds who bring a richness to our spiritual life and programs. Har Shalom treasures our members, clergy, staff, friends and neighbors and is grateful for the rainbow of people who make our community whole.

Core Values

  • Education. Har Shalom members are committed to teaching and learning about Judaism at every age, through vibrant preschool, religious school, and adult education programs, and by guiding each other through the promise of living a Jewish life.
  • Belonging. Har Shalom Center for Jewish Living welcomes people of diverse backgrounds and experiences into a Jewish home that treasures and supports equality and equity for all.  Like a family, we support each other in our Jewish journey.
  • Community. By connecting to Jewish traditions and customs, Har Shalom seeks to create a collective sense of Jewish spirituality through worship, holiday celebrations, and education.
  • Life Cycle. Members of Har Shalom focus on sharing life’s joys and sorrows within a Jewish community.
  • L'Dor Va Dor. Har Shalom endeavors to ensure the future and sustainability of the Jewish people by supporting Jewish life in Northern Colorado and around the world.
